Sight Words Games is intended for the students with parental
supervision. There was not an author, but is sponsored by Education.com. This
website is great for learning new vocabulary words, and practicing spelling
them. I really enjoy this website because it safe and is an ad-free page.
ABCmouse.com. (n.d.). ABCmouse.com. Retrieved June 5,
2014, from https://www.abcmouse.com/
ABCmouse is a website based on a step-by-step learning path from
preschool to kindergarten. I think that it would be a great tool for parents and
students to work on together, but it is a website that has a fee of $7.95 per
month. Overall, I think it’s a great website that covers all the curriculum that
will be learned in the classroom.
Kindergarten. (n.d.). IXL - math practice. Retrieved June
5, 2014, from http://www.ixl.com/math/kindergarten
IXL website is a great tool for all the skills that will be
learned in Kindergarten. It is child friendly, but does require the assistance
of a guardian. It allows the students to work on numbers, time, patterns, and
much more. One thing I really like about this website is it allows for the
students to play the answers out loud so that they can see and hear the
answers.
ABCya! Elementary Computer Activities & Games - Grade Level
kindergarten. (n.d.). ABCya! Elementary Computer Activities& Games -
Grade Level kindergarten. Retrieved June 5, 2014, from http://www.abcya.com/kindergarten_computers.htm
ABCya! Is a website for kindergarten up to 5th grade. It has games covering numbers, letters, and even holidays. I do not like how there is so many ads visible on the page. This
webpage could be helpful, but the guardian needs to keep a close eye on the
child to make sure they do not get off track.
Kindergarten. (n.d.). / Favorite Websites. Retrieved June
5, 2014, from http://www.forsyth.k12.ga.us/Page/14878
Favorite websites is a webpage created by Sharon Elementary. The
teachers compiled a list of their favorite website that they find instructive
and safe for their students to visit. There are 14 websites that are all very
good, and cover a wide array of subjects.
